Happy Birthday Tara!

This year I turned 33!  On Saturday, I went shopping with my dad.  I needed a new pair of dress shoes, so we went to Dillards and tried on a million pair until we decided on the perfect ones.  On Sunday, we had our joint party for Rick and I at the Bruce's.  We all pitched in and bought Rick a new BBQ grill for his birthday.  He was very happy.  Then, we decided to have my birthday on Monday, a day early, because no one is ever home on Tuesday - Bart has golf, Keegan has scouts, and Maddy has gymnastics.  We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner - one of our new favorites.  Then we went home and opened presents and had ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery - delicious.  I got a couple of Wii games, a Spa gift certificate and some money.  One of the Wii games was Tetris - one of my all time favorite games.  It has a balance board game which I tried out that night.  It was very fun!  It was a wonderful day.  The next day at work, there were 4 cakes brought in for my birthday and a bag of miniature candy bars - it was very nice.  At the end of the day, I decided to leave the cakes there to snack on the rest of the week, and the next morning they were gone!  The cleaning crew had gotten rid of them!  (That policy has now been changed.)  Overall, it was a wonderful birthday week!

What a cute cake!
