Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends! This year we are spending Thanksgiving with Bart's family at Rick and Myrna's house in Syracuse. I will be bringing green bean casserole and banana cream pie. These are both traditions that I brought over from the Julien side. My grandma Julien used to make the best banana cream pie every year. She would make one with coconut and one without for those that didn't like it. Maybe that is why I don't like pumpkin pie - because I always had banana cream instead.I love Thanksgiving because it has lots of good food and I get to relax, play games and watch football. I especially like to look through the newspaper ads to get ready for Black Friday shopping!

It was so fun to see you the other day! Too bad I looked like crap. Anyway, your banana cream pie sounds amazing with and without the coconut. I would love your recipe.
It's just the Lion House Cookbook recipe. I sometimes try different crust recipes, but the filling is always the same.
