Every year we host a superbowl party at our house. Normally, Bart's family is downstairs watching the 50 inch, 10-year old big screen TV and my family is upstairs watching the 42 inch flat screen. This year we decided to surprise our friends and family by buying a home theater projector and rearranging our basement to fit more people. We had always wanted a projector in the basement, but the layout wasn't ideal. We decided to rearrange the basement and put the screen on the biggest wall, which involved moving 5 heavy bookcases that were very full. We had to take every single book off of the shelves, move the bookcases and then put the books back on the shelves in alphabetical order. It was a lot of work, but the kids were a big help and we got it done. The room looks twice as big now and the screen is about 130 inches. It is very cool. We have always enjoyed having family movie night, but now it is a very different and awesome experience!
Speaking of the superbowl - this year it was the Colts vs. the Saints. I was very excited for Peyton and the Colts to be back in the Superbowl! Apparently everyone else was cheering for the Saints and unfortunately my Colts got beat. Whatever! Peyton is still the best and the Colts will win it all again soon!
